After five years of intensive research, the restoration of The Night Watch has begun. At this moment, we are removing the old varnish from Rembrandt's masterpiece to optimally preserve the artwork for future generations. This is being done with microscopic precision before the eyes of the public in a specially designed glass chamber at the Rijksmuseum under the name Operation Night Watch.
